Moibook is a platform that enables users to create, manage, and publish events, collect and track moi payments (donations), generate reports, and send notifications to event participants. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our platform, mobile applications, and related services. By accessing or using Moibook, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

Name, email address, phone number, and contact details
Government-issued identification (for verification/KYC of event organizers or enterprise users)
Payment information such as UPI ID, bank account details, and transaction references
Profile picture and demographic information (if voluntarily provided)

b) Event & Guest Information

Event details: name, date, venue, and description
Guest lists, invitations, RSVP responses
Moi payments (donations), receipts, and reports
Event passes, QR codes, and attendance logs

c) Device & Technical Data

Device type, browser, operating system, and IP address
Location (if location services are enabled)
Cookies, session tokens, and analytics identifiers

d) Media Content

Photos, videos, or other files uploaded to the platform
Live stream or recorded content associated with events

e) Communication Metadata

Message logs, delivery timestamps, and notification history (for audit and compliance)

If you use social login (Google, Apple, Facebook, etc.), we collect information as permitted by your chosen provider’s privacy settings.

We use your data to operate and enhance the Moibook experience. This includes:

Processing moi (donation) payments and refunds
Issuing and verifying event passes
Generating and sharing event reports and dashboards

Customer support and identity verification

User account data: Retained until account deletion or 12 months of inactivity
Transaction and payment data: Up to 7 years for tax and compliance
Event records: Up to 3 years after the event’s completion unless deleted earlier by the organizer

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed or stored outside your country of residence.
When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent protection mechanisms, are in place.

WhatsApp Messaging

Moibook uses WhatsApp, SMS, email, and in-app notifications to share event updates, payment confirmations, and reminders.
By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive messages.
Each notification sent via WhatsApp is chargeable at ₹0.005 (0.5 paisa), deducted or billed as per Moibook’s pricing policy.
You can opt out anytime by replying STOP or emailing us.
We do not share your message data with third parties for marketing purposes.
All communications comply with WhatsApp Business Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations.
Significant changes will be notified via email, in-app alert, or website banner.
Continued use of Moibook after such updates indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed under the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ramanthapuram, Tamil Nadu, India.
